U Mobile Eyes 30 Per Cent Sales Growth, Prepaid Take-Up Rate

KUALA LUMPUR, July 23 (Bernama) -- Telco operator, U Mobile Sdn Bhd, is eyeing an up to 30 per cent hike in sales growth and prepaid take-up rate respectively by year-end.

This follows the launch of its latest product, the POWER Prepaid Pack here today.

Chief Marketing Officer Jasmine Lee said the growing usage of data among Malaysian would drive the growth.

"We expect most of our customers to move forward by upgrading to this new product.

"We also want to take the market share of other operators as it is a very practical product. A lot of customers will see value in this product," she told reporters after launch.

Also present was U Mobile Chief Executive Officer Wong Heang Tuck.

The new starter pack POWER Prepaid Pack is already available in the market at all U Mobile channels nationwide and retails at RM8.50.

It offers 200MB high speed mobile internet, 150 minutes of free calls, RM5 mobile credit, 10-day validity period, the lowest call rate of 5 sen to all networks and free basic internet.

In addition, customers get to enjoy a 1GB high speed mobile internet monthly and free for life, as long as their prepaid SIM card remains active.
