Annual Bubur Lambuk Affair At Concorde Hotel Shah Alam

SHAH ALAM, June 15 (Bernama) -- Concorde Hotel Shah Alam continued its yearly pre-Ramadan event that it started in 2004, distributing 8,000 packets of 'Bubur Lambuk' recently.

This year, 8,000 packets of Bubur Lambuk were distributed to members of the public who had started to gather at the hotel's driveway as early as 3.30 p.m. Distribution started at 4 p.m.

Packets of the porridge were also delivered to nearby mosques, orphanages and underprivileged homes.

"The management of Concorde Hotel Shah Alam would like to thank our sponsors and supporters for their continuous support," said its general manager Leo Llambi.

The cooking process started at 8.30 a.m. using 300 kilogrammes of rice, 25 kilogrammes of dried shrimp and 100 kilogrammes of beef, all were cooked in large pots. This annual charity event is well received and popular among the residents and offices in Shah Alam.
