Pos Malaysia Named Brand Of The Year At World Branding Awards 2015

KUALA LUMPUR, March 27 (Bernama) -- Pos Malaysia Berhad (Pos Malaysia) was named Brand of the Year 2015 in the Postal Services category by the World Branding Forum (WBF), in Paris, last Tuesday.

With the win, Pos Malaysia also became the first postal company in the world to receive such recognition from WBF.

"We are thrilled to win this prestigious international Brand of the Year 2015 award. This award belongs to all our employees who work hard to ensure that we deliver Pos Malaysia's brand promise to every single customer at every corner of the country.

"We also wish to thank our customers and the Malaysian public for their loyalty and trust in the Pos Malaysia brand, and assure them of our commitment to continue to raise the bar and consistently deliver a high level of service," Pos Malaysia's Covering Group Chief Executive Officer Azlan Shahrim said in a statement here, today.

Winners were judged through four streams: brand valuation, consumer market research, public online voting, as well as voting by the WBF Advisory Council comprising luminaries from the world of branding.

The Paris ceremony saw 50 brands from 22 countries awarded. Global winners included Cartier, Club Med, Evian, Gillette, Gucci, Hermes, Hilton Hotels and Resorts, IKEA, L'Oreal, Moet & Chandon, Nike, Prada and UPS.

Pos Malaysia's Head of Group Communications Datuk Rohaiza Hashim was at the event to receive the award.

Over 2,500 brands from 35 countries were nominated for the Awards. Only 119 brands were awarded for the 2014-2015 period.
