Poland Has Highest Cervical Cancer Deaths In EU

WARSAW, March 9 (Bernama) -- The death rate of cervical cancer in Poland is 70 per cent higher than the European Union average, said the National Cancer Register.

More than 3,000 new cases of cervical cancer and deaths were reported in the country in 2010, Xinhua news agency reported.

The Cancer Defence campaign on Sunday urged greater awareness of cervical cancer on International Women's Day.
