KLPac 'Let’s Dance with Lex' Calls For Participants

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 -- One of the many activities under the Yayasan Sime Darby Arts Festival include a fun dance programme specially tailored for those aged 40 and above.

"Let’s Dance with Lex" is a six-day programme that begins with workshops from the 9th to the 12th of September and will culminate in a dance showcase at the festival finale on the 13th and the 14th of September.

The Dance Programme is a part of the Yayasan Sime Darby Arts Festival.

Led by the bubbly and charismatic Lex Lakshman Balakrishnan, the participants will be taught a variety of moves from line dance, jazz, zumba and more during the first four days.

A graduate of the of the National Academy of Arts, Culture and Heritage, Cikgu Lex is an experienced choreographer and dance instructor whose work can be seen in major musicals such as Sinbad and Broken Bridges.

The workshops will culminate in a showcase during the festival finale where the participants will perform a specially choreographed routine by Cikgu Lex for the public.

Whether you are a seasoned dancer or a newbie to dance but have secretly harbored desires to learn how to move, this is your chance to learn from the best and discover the joy of dancing.

There is no entry fee for this programme and the workshops are free of charge. However, there are limited places available.
