KUALA LUMPUR -- The Muka Space and TAS Seni Teater Rakyat are joining hands to organise a performance titled "Hidup ini Senget" supported by Kuala Lumpur Performing Art Centre (klpac).

This performance is presented by a group of experienced talents who rather wants to be knowns as Orang-Orang Drum Theatre set to tantalize the audience's sight and hearing to bring them into the realm of "Hidup Ini Senget".

The unique title derived from a summary of a collection of old people’s stories where the choreographer had a chance to spend time to explore through conversations with people from the older generation and translate them into a theatrical display.

"The questions evolved around real subject matters of ‘How do they live? How do they eat? How do they breathe? And inspired by these stories, we start to question our existence in this country and our own stories,’ said a statement issued to Bernama Lifestyle and Youth.

By stimulating the audiences' senses of hearing and seeing, this piece tries to bring the audience into the atmosphere of "Hidup Ini Senget"

The performance is a mixture of three different art disciplines - percussion, theatre and physical movement.

"Hidup Ini Senget" will be featured starting 31 July until 2 August 2014, at 8.30pm and 1 August to 3 August 2014 at 3.00pm at klpac.
