Romancing The Classic - A Musical With Passion And Thrill

Kuala Lumpur -- The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac) Orchestra thriving in style as they set to organize yet another concert titled “Romancing The Classic”.

The musical play features soothing melodies from Edvard Grieg’s “Peer Gynt” Suite 1 and 2, Piano Concerto in A minor 1st Movement and Antonin Dvorak’s Symphony No 8.

The Peer Gynt is a story of a romantic origin that bravely confronts human conflicts of facing reality or to lie in search of self truth.

The classic and dramatic touch of the story will definitely pull people to the seat.

The performance will be divided into two parts. “A story of an Anti-Hero” which is the first part of the concert will feature the highlights from Suite 1 and 2 of the Peer Gynt.

The recital continues with Edvard Grieg’s the Piano Concerto in A minor, 1st Movement which was one of his most admired piano works by many.

The second part of the concert “The Victorious Symphony No. 8” will underline the Symphony No 8 by Antonin Dvorak.

The concert also features a piano soloist Sothie Paul Duraisamy and will be conducted by the klpac’s own Resident Conductor and Music Director String Ensemble Dr. Takahisa Ota.

The concert is expected to be filled with magical yet thrilling experience.

The concert will be performed at Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac) on 5th and 6th July 2014.

Tickets are priced at RM43; however there are discount rates for students, disabled and TAS card holders.
