Language Studies lecturer wins UiTM Innovation Award

SEREMBAN, Dec 11 -- A lecturer from the Academy of Language Studies of Universiti Teknologi Mara's (UiTM) Seremban campus has won the 2019 Product Innovation and Commercialisation Award in conjunction with UiTM Negeri Sembilan's 2019 Innovation Month Summit.

Assoc Prof Dr Angeline Ranjethamoney Vijayarajoo created a board game called 'Monster Back To School' to facilitate the learning of English grammar for high school and university students.

The award was presented by Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.

Ranjethamoney said the innovative project was co-developed with UiTM Melaka's Academy of Language Studies senior lecturer, Roslina Mohd Jani, since 2017.

"It is a teaching and learning tool designed to learn English grammar in a fun way without any pressure, and helps teachers or lecturers in the teaching and learning process," she told Bernama after the summit here today.

At the event, Aminuddin, on behalf of the state government, contributed RM100,000 to UiTM Negeri Sembilan for the university's student development programme.
