KUALA NERUS, Dec 6 -- The import striker for Terengganu FC (TFC), Dominique Da Sylva does not want to be overshadowed by Kipre Thecthe who used to be the main pillar of the team.

On the other hand, the 30-year-old Senegal-born player wanted to focus and create his own reputation in the Malaysian League (M League) competition next season.

According to Da Sylva, his presence on the Terengganu football stage was not as a replacement for Tchetche, but to create his own style to further boost the Turtle Squad’s attacking machinery.

"I don't come to replace anyone. I just come to do my job and see what I can do for TFC.

"I watched many games of him (Thcethe) before coming and he is a good player. But I don't come to do something like him," he said when  met after his first training session with TFC.

Meanwhile, TFC chief coach, Mohd Nafuzi Zain said he was only waiting for the last import player from the African continent to complete the team.

He hoped the presence of the player could beef up the Turtle Squad’s defence to face the M League competition which would surely be more challenging next year.

‘’The final import player is expected to arrive in Kuala Lumpur on Monday for pre-season training with TFC.

‘’We are also waiting for Lee Tuck and Sanjar Shaakhmedov who are now on holidays in their respective countries,’' he said, denying rumours that the final import player would be Fode Kufour Camara.
