DUNGUN, Nov 22 -- It was a dream come true for an orphan boy when Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) striker Muhammad Safawi Rasid visited him on his last day at Dungun Hospital here yesterday.

Muhammad Danish Irfan, 11, and his six siblings become orphans after their parents, Norhapisah Idris, 34, and Kamal Hisham Mustaffa Mohammad, 35, were killed in a road crash at Jalan Felda Kerteh 2/3, near Ketengah Jaya here on Oct 4.

The boy, who was critically injured in the accident, was treated at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital near Kuala Terengganu before being transferred to Dungun Hospital on Oct 30.

His aunt, Shaidah Idris said Muhammad Danish Irfan is very active in sports and Muhammad Safawi is his idol in football.

"He really likes Safawi's style of playing and he really wants to meet him after watching the Malaysia-Indonesia match on Tuesday,” she told Bernama when contacted here today.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Safawi said he was informed of the boy's wish by his sister-in-law who is a doctor at Dungun Hospital.

He said he went to the hospital about 10 am yesterday and spent more than half an hour with Muhammad Danish Irfan.

"My sister-in-law told me that the boy mentioned my name many times and I just happened to be back to my hometown for holidays,” he said.
