Abdul Rahim explained that some USIM lecturers were also involved in industry and in this connection, the university intends to facilitate cooperation between the university and the private sector, and will also invite captains of industry to USIM for sharing sessions with students and lecturers.

He was speaking to reporters today about the university's 17th convocation ceremony scheduled to be held next Tuesday.

A total of 2,629 graduates of diploma, undergraduate and graduate studies will receive their awards at the convocation - this number will include a pioneer batch of 50 Islamic banking and finance undergraduates.
