KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 -- The Kuala Lumpur netball squad remain on course for a third successive national title after qualifying for the final of the 41st National Netball Championship at Juara Stadium in Bukit Kiara here today.

Kuala Lumpur, who were the 2017 and 2018 champions, beat Johor 44-26 in the semi-finals and will face Perak in tomorrow's final.

Before the breather, the score was quite close and the squad under the guidance of former national player Norizan Rajab had to change their strategy to tame the aggressive gameplay displayed by their opponents.

"For me, Johor are an aggressive team. They have a good game plan, but after the change in strategy, my girls managed to survive until the end of the game.

"Our team will continue to strive for the hattrick after winning the trophy at the Malaysia Games (Sukma) and the National Youth Championship last year," she told reporters after the match.

Norizan added that there would be some changes for tomorrow's clash to ensure her players could maintain their winning streak.

In the semi-final match, Perak defeated Terengganu 35-31 to march into the final.

Perak coach Faridah Abdul Karim said they would put on their best performance against Kuala Lumpur.

"We are back to redeem the honour and promise to go all out in tomorrow's match," she said.

In last year's edition, Perak settled for fifth place.

The final will be at 2.30 pm tomorrow.
