KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 17  -- Former United States (US) First Lady, Michelle Obama will take centre stage at the ‘An Evening with Michelle Obama’ event in Singapore on Dec 14.

To be organised by leading business event provider, The Growth Faculty, the event will explore the moments, both public and private, that shaped the life of the first African-American who had served as the US First Lady.

According to The Growth Faculty founder Karen Beattie, Michelle is one of the most influential women of our time, describing the occasion as truly special for Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.

“Lawyer, first lady, mother of two and global role model, Michelle Obama's extraordinary story is one that fascinates and inspires business leaders and people everywhere.”

Attendees will hear about her time growing up in the South Side of Chicago, time as an executive, balancing the demands of motherhood and work, as well as highlights from the eight transformative years she had served as First Lady.

Michelle, who authored the book titled ‘Becoming’, helped to create the most welcoming and inclusive White House in history, while also establishing herself as a powerful advocate for women and girls in the US and worldwide.

In a separate stage, her husband, Barack Obama will address Asia Pacific business leaders at a special event titled, ‘In Conversation with President Barack Obama’ on Dec 16, also in Singapore.

The event will see the 44th US President discussing his time in office and thoughts on leadership in the world.
