SHAH ALAM, April 26 (Bernama) -- QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd (QSR Brands) plans to open 60 new Pizza Hut restaurants nationwide over the next three years.

Managing director Datuk Seri Mohamed Azahari Mohamed Kamil said the company will open 20 Pizza Hut restaurants a year with a focus on drive-through outlets in integrated neighbourhoods.

To reduce costs, these restaurants will be built and operated by a business partner while Pizza Hut will provide the equipment, training and raw materials, he said.

“We will also collaborate with international food delivery services operating in Malaysia to expand our market.

“Besides contacting Pizza Hut or using our application, customers can now also use other food delivery services’ applications to order food from Pizza Hut,” he told reporters after opening Pizza Hut’s 400th restaurant at Central Icity here today.

Also present were QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd (Restaurant Division) chief executive officer Merrill Pereyra and Pizza Hut Malaysia chief operating officer Loi Liang Tok.

QSR Brands is the operator of Pizza Hut and KFC restaurants in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Loi in her speech said the Pizza Hut restaurants feature an open kitchen and a self-service counter to give customers a different experience from other pizza restaurants.

“To provide our customers a vibrant and unique ambience, Pizza Hut has modified about 50 per cent of the existing restaurants over the last two years,” she said.
