TVET Empowerment Committee can increase graduates' marketability

KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 (Bernama) –  The Government’s efforts to set up a committee for the Empowerment of Technical Education and Vocational Training Technical Education and Vocational Training will ensure that the education remains relevant to the needs of the industry and improve TVET graduate’s marketability.

It will also avoid a mismatch in the job market.Senior lecturer at the Leadership and Education Policy Centre in the Faculty of Education, University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Dr Radin Siti Aishah A Rahman said the committee could act as second to the TVET system.

“The committee will monitor and monitor and implement coordination which includes governance, brandingand quality.

“The TVET is under six ministries and it is very important that the system is monitored,” he told Bernama here today.

These are the Ministries of Education, Ministry of Human Resource, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Agriculture and Afro-Based Industry, Ministry of Rural Development as well as Ministry of Women, Family and Community.
