ShopBack Online Travel Fair Achieves 100 Pct Growth

KUALA LUMPUR, March 15 (Bernama) -- The past ShopBack Online Travel Fair, a collaboration between Tourism Malaysia and ShopBack Malaysia, has achieved 100 per cent year-on-year growth.

Tourism Malaysia Senior Director Tourism Malaysia, Datuk Dr Ammar Abd Ghapar said, "This is definitely encouraging and together with the continuous efforts from the public sector as well as private e-commerce players, we are confident in growing the industry performance towards the Visit Malaysia 2020 goal."

In a statement, he said, this year Tourism Malaysia was expanding its support towards ShopBack’s Online Travel Fair, the largest e-travel fair in Malaysia which is held in collaboration with its partner merchants including Agoda,, Expedia, Malaysia Airlines, BusOnlineTicket, KLOOK, Traveloka and

ShopBack Malaysia said Tourism Malaysia recently confirmed its support towards the largest Online Travel Fair organised by the company from March 11 to March 17,   marking their third year of collaboration.

Its country general manager, Alvin Gill said that a special partnership with all the online travel sites, can give travellers up to 8 per cent cashback on each travel booking.

In conjunction with the first Online Travel Fair in 2019, he added, ShopBack Malaysia was also giving away an extra up to RM25 bonus cashback to all travellers who purchase flight, accommodation, and trip packages to any Malaysia destination via its platforms from March 11 to March 17.
