NFDP to fill 10 vacant coaching posts

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 25 (Bernama) -- Ten coaches will be selected to fill vacancies as State Junior Head Coach (KJRN) and coaches under the National Football Development Programme (NFDP) at Mokhtar Dahari Academy (AMD).

NFDP Technical Committee chairman, Datuk Seri Subahan Kamal said NFDP had advertised the vacant  coach posts which have yet to be filled on Jan 10 -18, after a coaching restructure in AMD and NFDP.

"We have received 83 applications from local and foreign coaches. In fact, today we have interviewed candidates for (KJRN) in several states under Saad Ichalalene who was appointed as NFDP technical director.

“On Monday, we will be holding interviews for posts in AMD which would complete the coaching structure under Lim Teong Kim as AMD technical director,” he said after chairing the NFDP's Techical Committee Meeting at the National Sports Council today.

Subahan said in line with the process to restructure NFDP, the coaching system also needed to be changed so that it could move quickly to ensure continuity in the development young players was not affected after the NFDP was revamped on Dec 10.
