KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 15 (Bernama) -- A total of 11 Diploma in Fashion Design final year students from INTI Centre of Art and Design (CAD) showcased their creativity at a fashion show at Paradigm Mall recently.

Designing to the theme “Chance”, the students were looking for the opportunity to shine and gain a foothold in the fashion design industry, said INTI in a statement.

The fashion show was attended and judged by renowned local fashion designers, Hatta Dolmat, who has dressed international artist Yuna on several occasions; Rico Rinaldi, an award-winning fashion designer who was nominated for Best Bridal Gown in the 1st International Bridal Awards 2017 by Elle Spose, and Khoon Hooi, winner of Elle Magazine's 2017 Malaysian Designer of the Year / Red Carpet Designer of the Year awards.

Dean of ICAD at INTI International College Subang Ang Tong Yin said, the show enabled students to showcase their original creations, whilst gaining invaluable feedback and guidance from industry experts on current trends and ideas needed to get ahead in this rapidly evolving industry.

She said all 11 students who took part in the fashion show were also part of a unique collaboration with Royal Demure, a local online crowdfunding platform for fashion enthusiasts.

At the end of the fashion show, the award for the Best Crafted Design went to Marcella Mia Lomoljo, an international student from the Philippines, while the award for Best Ready to Wear Collection,  went to Vicky Leong Van Kee.
