KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 20 (Bernama) -- The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Kuala Lumpur ended with a bang, drawing over 500,000 people to the MINES International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC).

The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Kuala Lumpur partnered with Astro Kasih Knowledge Zone this year through its Corporate Social Responsibility arm, the Red Readerhood Programme, where the members of the public were encouraged to donate books to underprivileged children.

A total of 1,000 books were donated to the cause, with 16,376 books collected throughout the 11-day book sale, benefitting 3,000 children from 29 charity homes nationwide.

“As our aim is to always create platforms for books to be accessible and affordable for all, we hope to conquer more cities and countries in the coming years as we want to rekindle the joy of reading because reading can create opportunities for people to be inspired and empower them to dream bigger," said Founder of Big Bad Wolf Books, Andrew Yap in a statement.

Leading up to its 10th Anniversary Sale in 2019, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale will be going to 10 states in Malaysia such as Pahang, Johor, Sarawak, Melaka and finally back to Kuala Lumpur to celebrate its 10th year Anniversary Sale in December.....
