Have A Coffee Break In Petronas CNY Road Safety Campaign

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 8 (Bernama) -- A total of 141 Petronas fuel stations across the country will be giving out one million cups of complimentary hot coffee and snacks to road users in its 'Coffee Break' campaign during the Chinese New Year (CNY) festive period to inculcate a road safety culture.

This 19th annual campaign, launched today, will be from Feb 14 to 15 and from Feb 18 to 19, between 2 pm and 5 pm while stocks last.

Petronas Dagangan Berhad (PDB) managing director and chief executive officer, Datuk Mohd Ibrahimnuddin Mohd Yunus said the campaign was to encourage motorists to refresh and relax before continuing their journey.

In addition, he said, there would be a road safety advocacy programme by the Road Safety Department, one of its campaign partners.

?We want to send the road safety message to as many motorists as possible, as it is our wish that all travellers will reach their destinations safely to celebrate the festivities with their loved ones,? he said at the campaign launch, here, today.

Mohd Ibrahimnuddin said to reinforce the safety message during the campaign period, selected Petronas stations would also offer complimentary health checks by St John Ambulance Malaysia (SJAM).

For the 25th year running, PDB is the fuel sponsor for 50 SJAM's ambulances stationed along highways to provide emergency assistance to motorists travelling during the festive period.

The 'Coffee Break' campaign is supported by PDB's partners, Nestle Products Sdn Bhd, Delfi Marketing Sdn Bhd, Julie's Marketing Sdn Bhd, Mondelez Malaysia Sales Sdn Bhd, Munchworld Marketing Sdn Bhd, Suntory Beverages and Food Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Shopee Mobile Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Dunkin Donuts.
