Aqeesh's Musical Journey On Hurr.Tv

KUALA LUMPUR, June 4 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's online lifestyle and video streaming platform, hurr.tv has introduced a new show, Aqeesh which will follow the journey of the first winner of hurr.tv´s talent show, Bakat Ohsem Malaysia (BOM) starring teenage talent Aqeesh Aleeya, 14.

The five webisodes will be broadcast on the hurr.tv website, mobile app and YouTube every Friday from May 25 to June 15 at 9.30 pm.

"Aqeesh is an exclusive show by hurr.tv aimed at introducing our new talent Aqeesh Aleeya. Just 14 years old, I am confident that Aqeesh's talent will spur the music industry, said hurr.tv Channel Director Datin Elaine Daly.

"Her fresh and distinctive style will provide her with an advantage in paving the way to becoming a leading singer in Malaysia. Hopefully, her talent will be recognised not only locally, but also internationally in the near future," she added in a statement.

The show will bring viewers behind the scene with Aqeesh, full name Nur Balqis Aleeya Shahrom in the making of her debut pop dance single, ‘Aku Malu´ as she realises her dream of becoming a full-fledged singer.

BOM TALENT CHAMPION

Aqeesh emerged as champion in hurr.tv´s BOM talent show hosted in Dec 23, 2017 which saw her winning a cash prize of RM100,000 and a brand new Proton Saga 1.3 (A) car by MyMotor.

Through the Aqeesh show, viewers will get an exclusive insight into her daily life. The first webisode will see Aqeesh in her daily routine at home. Viewers will learn more about her personality, as well as her relationship with her parents and siblings.

The second web episode will see Aqeesh in her school environment where she juggles life as a student, balancing her time between her studies and her artistic interests. There will also be special interviews with her teachers and school mates sharing their thoughts on Aqeesh.

The third to fifth webisodes will feature Aqeesh meeting with reknowned Malaysian musicians including Tomok and Khai Bahar where she receives valuable advice and guidance on surviving in the local music industry.

Additionally, Aqeesh will also have the opportunity to perform an accoustic number with her music idols.

In the final webisode, viewers will also see her collaborative efforts with Malaysian composer, DJ Fuzz and lyricist Hez Hazmi in the making of her first pop dance single due to be released this month.
