Women Workforce Seen Contributing RM9 Bln To Malaysia's GDP

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13 (Bernama) -- More women in the workforce could potentially increase Malaysia´s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by between RM6 billion and RM9 billion, says Talent Corporation Bhd.

Its Chief Executive Officer Shareen Shariza Datuk Abdul Ghani said this is because women are recognised as a pivotal resource to drive economic growth as highlighted in the 2018 Budget announcement.

"Women make up half the nation´s population and account for over 55 per cent of enrolment in local universities.....
