Ed Sheeran Returns To KL On Nov 14

KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 (Bernama) --Grammy Award-winning British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is making his way back to Malaysia with a concert slated for Nov 14. The 'Shape Of You' singer was last in Malaysia for a concert in 2015.

U Mobile, which is the official telco partner for the Ed Sheeran's Malaysia Concert, says it will be organising a series of contests to give away concert tickets in the lead up to the concert date.

It said that the concert was part of U Mobile´s Unlimited Grooves calendar. The telco is also a partner of Good Vibes Festival 2017, Upfront concert series as well as the presenter of Urbanscapes 2017 which is currently taking place.

"U Mobile has always made music central to our offerings because we recognise that it is a big passion of our customers," said Chief Marketing Officer Jasmine Lee at a press conference to announce its Unlimited Grooves Calendar.

On the services front, U Mobile's Music-Onz service enables customers to stream unlimited music from 19 partners without using their data, for free. The partners include Apple Music, Spotify, JOOX, Tidal, KKbox, Raku and BFM 89.9.

"With the success that we have enjoyed with Music-Onz, we are inspired to engage our customers further at a more personal level on the platform that they love.

Hence, we are truly excited about our partnerships with Urbanscapes, Upfront, Good Vibes Festival and Ed Sheeran´s Malaysia Tour just to name a few," she added.

Jasmine said that its presence at the events would not just be a physical brand exercise as the telco had weaved in many exclusive benefits for their customers at the various events.

Themed RediscoverKL, this year's Urbanscapes' will be packed with music and performance art, as well as art installations.

The festival will also feature talks, thematic markets, workshops, experiential and interdisciplinary events headlined by home-grown, regional and international artists including Clean Bandit, Mew, Yellow Fang and Kyoto Protocol.
