KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 (Bernama) -- Tony Roma's gave Mazlina Ibrahim from Sungai Buloh a special Mother's Day lunch treat at her home with the chef being no other than Bob Gallagher.

Chef Gallagher, who is Senior Vice President of Culinary at Romacorp Inc, the parent company, flew down to Kuala Lumpur from the United States to cook and serve up a scrumptious lunch of Tony Roma's signature food such as Beef Ribs and Lamb Ribs.

Mazlina was the lucky winner of Tony Roma´s Cooks Lunch for Mom & Family@Home contest. The contest featured a ‘home-cooked´ lunch worth RM1,500 for a family of eight.

Also present was Regional Vice President of Franchise Operations, Alexis Kobernyk, who took on the role of server for the day and ensured Mazlina and her family were treated to a dining experience like no other.

Tony Roma's Brand Manager Muhammad Adam Mah said participants of the contest just had to dine in at any Tony Roma´s outlet and snap a photograph with the whole family in the most creative pose on Instagram using the Tony Roma´s Mother´s Day props.

“The characteristics that we look for are the creative photo and the distance taken to come and dine in. Mazlina is from Sungai Buloh where it is quite far from our outlet in Setia City Mall, Sunway Pyramid and others,” he added.

“I am so excited because I am the winner of the grand prizes worth RM1,500 and I think this is a special gift for me this year for Mother´s Day,” she told Bernama Youth.

"The Mother´s Day lunch was such a wonderful treat from Tony Roma´s, said Mazlina who had been a loyal Tony Roma´s customer for over five years.

We always look out for the promotions at Tony Roma´s and joining the Mother's Day contest is my eight year old son's idea. What a surprise it was when the call came from Tony Roma´s to say that we had won.

Special occasions are always celebrated at Tony Roma´s because we simply love the ribs there and the staff always make us feel very special," added Mazlina.
