Jon Bon Jovi's Wife Hospitalised
NEW YORK CITY, June 2 -- The Bon Jovi frontman's spouse Dorothea Hurley, 52, accidentally sliced her arm below her wrist open with a knife while she was chopping onions in their penthouse in SoHo, New York City.
A law enforcement source told the New York Post's Page Six that the 'Livin' On A Prayer' hitmaker made a frantic 911 call because the cut caused "heavy bleeding" and escorted his wife in an ambulance to Beth Israel Medical Centre at 11.30am.
The insider said that Dorothea, who celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary with Jon in April, received stitches and was released a few hours later.
The couple put their plush apartment in the city on the market for $37.5 million last month, according to real estate blog Curbed.
Last year, Jon, who has four children Stephanie, 20, Jesse James, 19, Jacob, 12, and Romeo, 10, with his wife, admitted he was not a "perfect" husband, but insisted he wasn't interested in having an affair.
He said: "I have a wife who I adore, without her the cards would crumble. Every day there's temptation. I don't go looking for it either. Am I perfect? No"
The rocker's daughter was found unconscious in her university dorm following a heroin overdose in November 2012, but recovered from the incident.
